FFT Collective invites you to join us for a special evening with Tina Reynolds and members of The Prison Birth Project.

Tina Reynolds is Co-founder and Chair of Women on the Rise Telling Her Story (WORTH), adjunct lecturer at York College/CUNY and co-author of Interrupted Life (University of California Press. January. 2010). She will be joining us to discuss the issues that effect incarcerated mothers and how we can better organize and support them as a community- as well as the success of WORTH in incarcerated moms leading and winning the fight to pass anti shackling legislation in NY.

WORTH is an association of formerly and incarcerated women who have been empowered by their own experiences. Through mentoring, mutual support, leadership development and telling our stories, WORTH transforms the lives of women directly impacted by incarceration and changes public perception and policy.

The Prison Birth Project is an organization focused on reproductive justice, working to provide support, education and advocacy to woman and girls at the intersection of the criminal justice system and motherhood.

This event is supported by The Prison Birth Project, Food For Thought Books, MotherWoman, and The Grassroots Infustructure Trust
